About AJCMF
A partner in the mission to educate all Filipinos, the Arnold Janssen Catholic Mission Foundation (or AJCMF with SEC registration no. A200116743 approved on 07 Nov. 2001) acts as a service provider of the Department of Education (DepEd) in bringing Alternative Learning System (ALS) to out-of-school children, out-of-school youth, non-literate adults and indigenous communities. A module-based educational program which prepares learners to complete elementary and high school levels of education, AJCMF-ALS provides hardware (physical facilities), software (instruction and skills content) and heartware (character). The Foundation is able to continue its mission in more than 30 community learning centers in the Philippines through the collaboration of individuals, benefactors, non-governmental organizations, local government units, people’s organizations, churches, and institutions.

History
Established in 2002 in DasmariƱas, Cavite, conditions of the drop-outs, illiterate, and poor provided new understanding of mission in education, following DepEd BALS system and the charism of Saint Arnold Janssen, the founder of the Society of the Divine Word (in Latin, Societas Verbi Divini or SVD).
